Deep devotional interactive workshops working with the Divine Feminine.
Explore the mythology and symbolism of the ancient goddess of laughter, Baubo. Learn of her origins and connection to the Eleusinian Mysteries of the Greek civilization. Discover her presence in your life as you investigate the archetypes of Nurse, Jester & "Opener of the Way". Learn an invocation and a fun song, journey to her in trance and see what gifts and insights she offers. You will be making a clay images of Baubo to take home with you.
Teri Ciacchi of TerraFire Academy and Kathleen McKeever of Urban Cauldron teach together with a focus on Ritual, Trance, Scholarship and Magickal Art. Bring a potluck lunch to share. Please bring paper for journaling and to take notes. Class will end with a co-created ritual that charges the magickal crafts we make together in the middle of the day. Our January 2008 topic for the ESE Salon is "Intimacy, Sex and BDSM". What is the difference between intimacy and sex and BDSM for you? Do you keep each of them separate? Are they collapsed together? Is BDSM more intimate than Sex for you? Is sex more intimate than BDSM for you? Come on down and we'll talk about it!
The Capitol Club is being renovated and we are not certain if it will be re-opened in time for our salon. We are investigating other potential venues and will send out an announcement as soon as we know where it will be for certain.
Erotic Seattle Education Sexuality Salon Discussions occur the third Tuesday of every month in Capitol Hill. A salon is an open facilitated discussion focused on a specific topic. Each Sexuality Salon will be focused on a different aspect of Sex (bet you already figured that out eh?
;-)) Salons will start at 7pm and end at 9pm and are open to all people. If you are a person that has difficulty with diversity or passionate conversation you may not want to attend.
